Academic Ratings
Working Definitions of the Grading System:
Student Goal - Student is working to 'meet' or exceed' this goal by the end of the year.
Grading Scale-
Exceeding (EXC)- Student not only meets the standard but is able to demonstrate a mastery above and beyond the standard.
Students may find a new way to exceed the standard, but there are some examples of situations that could earn the rating.
Met (MET)- Student consistently meets 'Student Goal'. 'Consistently' being defined as three or more assignments. Once students meet a goal, they must continue to produce work at that level to keep the rating.
Emerging (EME)- Student has demonstrated a growing knowledge of the skill but is not able to consistently demonstrate the skill yet.
Not Met (NM)- Student has not produced evidence of meeting the goal, but has made attempts to do so.

No Evidence (NE)- Student has not produced enough work in order to determine skill level.
